Q: How to control DigitalBasics S2 Soundbar Speaker?

A: There are two ways to control DigitalBasics S2, use your tv cable or satellite remote control.

Q: What is HDMI CEC control?

A: If your tv is connected with HDMI and it supports CEC (it is enabled in TV setting menu), you can control the volume and mute functions on Chaowei DigitalBasics S2 Sound Bar from your TV without any further setup

Q: What is Preload IR Codes?

A: If your tv connected via Optical cable or HDMI cable but it doesn’t support CEC, you may be able to control the volume and mute functions on Digitalbasics S2 from your TV without any further setup if your TV is one of the supported brands and was manufactured within last 5 years

Q: Does it support external DTS recoder?

A: It doesn’t support DTS since our Digitalbasics S2 model doesn’t support device with Dolby output.

Q: Why the HDMI-ARC connectivity doesn’t work automatically?

A: Regarding the HDMI-ARC connection automatically working, it is not the issue with any soundbar speaker, but it depends on your TV. If your TV supports CEC control or you may understand it is a kind of software builtin in your smart tv（you may ask your device supplier) , you can control the volume and mute functions on any kind of soundbar throught your tv remote without Passthrough setting. Otherwise, you need do Passthrough setting for most of ROKU TV .
